Mission Description
CyBEEsat is a 1U CubeSat set to launch on the second flight of the Isar Aerospace Spectrum rocket. Built on a satellite bus provided by the Berliner Nanosatelliten Allianz (BNA), the mission carries three main payloads:
- ROSI perovskite solar cell experiment from the University of Potsdam,
- a structural materials experiment by Aerospace Innovation GmbH
- RACCOON OS as the onboard computer operating system
- USB camera
RACCOON OS Usage
CyBEEsat will be an in-orbit demonstration of RACCOON OS as a full onboard computer operating system. The mission will showcase critical features such as secure software updates, encryption, and advanced cybersecurity mechanisms, alongside novel satellite algorithms. By validating RACCOON OS in space, CyBEEsat paves the way for more resilient and secure satellite missions in the future.
